Eating and Locomotion

We starting trying to give Sophia solids at the end of December. I say try as the first attempt went well, but those that followed well lets just say ended in digestive difficulty. Ah, the joys of parenthood. Needless to say we called in quits for a little while and I just started her back on rice cereal yesterday. She enjoyed the feeding and took the whole tablespoon. I am keeping my fingers crossed that we will have continued success. Her little persistent personality has really come out these last few weeks as she as been working on mastering flipping over. I hoping she'll be sitting up in no time since I am sure she is often frustrated by her inability to move.

January Visit

Lucky us!!! Deb, Tim, Dylan, Andrew, and Alex all came to visit for the weekend. Friday night we meet Penny and Larry out for a hibachi dinner at Ichiban. Both Sophia and Dylan were a little scared by the excitement of having diner lite on fire. It was really cute. Then Saturday we all ventured to GG Mums to have a late lunch. Unfortunately Sophia was crabby all weekend so it was a little difficult to enjoy, but here are a few pics. It was so great to see how much cousin Dylan has grown in person and to have the boys all together.
Don't they look like a cute little Sears Ad?

Proof of Sophia's real attitude during the majority of the weekend. Yet we kept on smiling.

New Years Eve and Day

Hurray to kid friendly parties! New Years Eve the Trinca Family had us and a few other friends over to celebrate. No big surprise Sophia was awake a few minutes to midnight to help us toast the ball dropping, this kid just doesn't want to miss out on anything! I wouldn't really have wished for it to be any other way. New years day we went to Nonna's house. The house was full of hustle and bustle as Larry's sons and their significant others were visiting. It was so nice to see them. They all adored Sophia (especially the girls), but how can you resist. Best of all Sophia got her Christmas gift from Nonna – a pink exersaucer, which she loves.

Nonna assisted Sophia in opening her very first wrapped present.
